UNSETTLING AMBIGUITY
101404

My friend

You don't know me that well, so
Let's meet, my friend
Let's meet here
Where you are
Where I could exist and live

But I'm afraid

Of going inside and looking around
What if I break a glass, or a dish, because I am clumsy?
Will I be forever tidying up the trail and mark of the messiness I make?
It's because I'm eager to share this love I feel
That I might break your dishes.

Eventually
I'll find I am dumb and can't speak a word
Because I will stutter.
I am dumb to sharing simple things.
Now, will you still meet me here?
